With freenet you get 60 minutes of Free Internet access each month.
If you use more than 60 minutes in any calendar month then you will be charged $9.95 (and use as many hours as you like!)

To use freenet you will need to choose a payment option. The reason for this is that your account needs to paid at least 1 month in advance. Your first payment also includes a non-refundable setup charge of $9.95.  After the first month your account will be brought back into credit again and thereafter if you use less than 60 minutes no monthly charge applies and your account will continue to stay one month in credit.
Each month freenet will mail you an 'evoice' (electronic invoice) detailing the status of your account.

So, please choose the payment option which best suits you.
WE RECOMMEND PAYMENT BY CREDIT CARD !!

credit card
This is a great way to pay for your freenet access if you exceed 60 minutes.  By using your credit card you receive extended credit, probably qualify for air points, no additional hassle, no postage, no cheques, and very secure as you ultimately authorise every payment you see on your statement. Please use it!

payment by 0900
This is so easy! simply ring the freenet 0900 subscription line.  Your freenet charge will appear on your home telephone account and your payment will be allocated to your freenet account.
We will e-mail you each month and ask you to call the freenet 0900 subscription line if you exceed 60 minutes usage in any month.
0900 customers are charged at a rate of $14.75 for every month that they use in excess of 200 minutes each month
Please note:  calls to the freenet 0900 pay line will incur a $1.00 surcharge and are non-refundable.  This means there will be a $10.95 charge to your Telecom account for each call.
direct debit
Fill out your direct debit form online.
Print it out, send it through to us with a cheque for your first months subscription of $9.95.
Direct debit is paid two monthly in advance. This means if you use in excess of 60 minutes your account is charged $9.95. If the closing balance of the account is less then $9.95 at the end of the month a direct debit charge if $19.90 will be processed (2 months in advance).
We will automatically process a direct debit of $19.90 on intial receipt of your direct debit form. This is done to validate the direct debit process.

The traditional method of payment.  If you choose this one don't forget to sign, post the cheque and make sure the money is in your account.
If you pay by chque you are required to pay 3 months in advance ($29.85). This is necessary so to minimise the handling costs associated with the chque payments.

Closing your freenet account
You may be entitled to a refund if there is a credit balance on your freenet account. We do ask that you give 7 days notice to close your freenet account. At the end of the calendar month following a request to close your account we will calculate the closing balance on your account. Where applicable a refund will be issued within the first 10 days of following month.

If your freenet payment option is by credit card then any refund due will automatically be applied to your credit card account.

If your freenet payment option is by cheque or direct debit then a cheque for any refund due will posted (by the 10 of the month) to your address as detailed in the closure form you have completed.

All 0900 payments are non refundable.

No refunds will be issued until support@free.net.nz has received your correctly completed freenet closure form.
